The introduction of the gate access system has been seamless and works well. This now allows the club to manage the system remotely and have a significant increase in confidence that the facility is running efficiently. Also, feedback from the users has been nothing but very positive given how easy it is to use.

Annan Athletic Football Club required an access control solution that provided unmanned access to their 3G Pitch, that could integrate into the SportsKey facility management software to enable customers to book out their football pitch during day and during unsociable hours and generate a means of access for them to use during an allocated time slot.
The Solution
An Act365 Cloud based solution was installed that integrated with Annan Athletic Football Club’s existing facilities management software. As Act365 is a fully cloud-based access control solution no expensive third-party servers or PC's were required to manage the system.
A keypad proximity reader was also installed so customers and staff could gain entry to the football pitch via a valid pin or key fob.
The system easily integrated with SportsKey and gave customers, after booking their pitch date and time online, a time sensitive pin that gave them access to the facility via the keypad proximity reader.
As Annan Athletic Football Club is a 365 days a year facility, the system also allows the sports pitch flood lights to come on and remain on for the duration of the booking. Allowing Annan to offer greater booking flexibility in winter and low light months, along with cost saving for lighting and ongoing energy usage.
The Results
The new access control system has reduced the number of staff required to man the premises, prevented unauthorised visitors from accessing the pitch unless they have a valid booking and pin, which has in turn made the management of the site more efficient.
