Upgrade and replace historic intercom systems for two primary schools
After carrying out an on-site survey and initial discussions with the client, OLS recommended the installation of Akuvox R20 IP Video Door Entry Phone system, located at multiple entry points to each site creating a secure perimeter, together with a touch screen tablet style answering station.
The Solution
A future-proofed solution improving the schools safeguarding
Each of the school’s requirements were very similar and needed to be cost sensitive due to budget constraints along with a future proofed solution. Existing cabling and the enhanced need for video functionality for recognition of visitors was also a priority, together with the need to interface with the schools existing access control system to work hand in hand for remote release of each entry point.
This unit has become very successful during the COVID19 outbreak. It has allowed for visual recognition for entry to be used and minimal touching of the unit. This has enabled customers to keep in contact with any visitors or deliveries they would have otherwise missed: easy to clean one-piece devices, IP65 & vandal resistant rating.
In conclusion, the new school security system put in place by OLS Ltd has helped the school improve the way it safeguards the wellbeing of all its pupils, staff and visitors as well as providing a user-friendly system that’s simple to use for both staff, parents and children alike.
