Having worked for a number of years in the security systems industry, Oliver Law founded OLS in 2009 with the aim of providing high quality, reliable and professional security services for a wide range of commercial and industrial establishments.

With the advancement in technology now playing a pivotal role in security systems, OLS have the knowledge and experience to provide up to minute cloud based solutions for access control systems and CCTV systems.

Sole Trader

2009

OLS was formed as a Sole Trader by Ollie Law to provide high, quality, reliable and professional security services to both commercial and industrial establishments. With over 10 years’ experience in the security industry and Ollie’s great work ethic, professionalism and knowledge of the industry OLS was on the road to success.

Incorporation

2011

OLS became a Limited company in 2011. With the advancement in technology now playing a pivotal role in security systems and Ollie’s ability to tailor bespoke access control solutions along with his desire and passion to succeed the business had expanded into a thriving limited business.

Kronos Preferred Partner

2012

Preferred UK installer - Service and maintenance supplier for Kronos efficient products across the UK and Ireland.

New premises

2015

OLS moved to Armstrong House a shared service centre based in Doncaster where the business began to thrive as new services were added to the OLS offering and more employees were added to the team to manage the new contracts that were won across many different sectors up and down the country.

SSAIB Accredited

2016

OLS became SSAIB accredited in Access Control and CCTV. SSAIB is the leading certification body for organisations providing security systems and services. Only organisations who can portray expertise in the design, provision, installation and maintenance of access control are awarded and accredited by the scheme.

Safe Contractor Accredited

2017

OLS are passed year on year as Safe Contractor accredited.

Collaboration

2019

OLS teams up with technology partner UKG the global leader in workforce management. Through the arrangement, OLS will create tight-knit integrations to both Workforce Dimensions from Kronos and Kronos Workforce Ready to support new innovations in workforce management and access control.

OLS Connect Launched

2019

OLS Connect is a custom-built, cloud-based integration platform which is both scalable and flexible and offers a future proof solution to both private and public sector organisations across a multitude of business sectors. It is fully customisable and offers both API and flat file integrations. Custom-built integrations are available for both premise & hosted solutions.

2020

OLS receive ISO9001 Certification in recognition of their Quality Management System meaning that customers have complete assurance that OLS operates the highest standards and that all regulatory requirements are met for our products and services.

Leadership team

2020

Senior Leadership Team formed. To drive the business forward and continue to offer the best possible service to our customers OLS have formed a Senior Leadership Team. Our aim is to be the provider of choice for Access Control, IP CCTV Installations, APNR and integrated systems.

New premises

2021

OLS expand to their new premises at Avro Park Doncaster. The business had outgrown its previous base and has now purchased a property located at the Avro Park Development at Doncaster Sheffield Airport. Having their own business premises opens an avenue of opportunities to further expand and take on new contacts.

Accreditation

2021

OLS receive SSAIB Accreditation for Intruder Alarm Systems. SSAIB is a leading certification body for organisations providing security systems. Certification is only awarded to organisations who can demonstrate expertise in the design, installation and maintenance of intruder alarm systems.

Team members

2021

OLS increase staff by a further 5 team members including Lauren who joined as Business Development Manager with an extensive background within the security sector. Dan also joined the already thriving OLS Apprenticeship programmes to work alongside the team of Engineers.

UK Business Tech Awards Winner

2023

OLS win SaaS Company of the Year 2023 at the UK Business Tech Awards who celebrate the UK’s finest tech-based businesses. OLS stood out from the crowd because of their ability to deliver bespoke resolutions and high customer service levels.

2024

Meet the Management Team

Ollie

Owner, Founder & CEO

Ollie setup OLS in 2009. Ollie oversees all aspects of the business operation, focusing his time on developing and growing the company. The business now works with its partners and clients across the UK, Europe, and USA.With over 20 years’ experience in the security industry Ollie has the knowledge, experience, and expertise to work with a range of clients across many different sectors. Ollie’s specialist area is ‘transitioning customers to the cloud’ whereby he can tailor bespoke solutions using innovative technology to fit the customer’s expectations & needs.Ollie likes to keep up to date with the latest technologies and embeds these within the OLS methodology.

Claire

Owner & Commercial Director

Claire joined OLS in 2017. Claire works as Commercial Director at OLS, here she develops and implements commercial strategies according to company goals. She manages business planning and efficiency and makes sure that regulations and guidelines are adhered too.Claire has a Master’s Degree in Education and likes to a apply this training, development and lifelong learning ethos to all staff.

Tasha

Management - Administration Team

Tasha has been with the business since 2019, starting as a part time administrator Tasha has been promoted to Office Manager whereby, she oversees the administration and accounts division.Tasha has a wealth of business administration experience and has worked in Office environments for over 15 years.Tasha believes that on the job training is a great way to start a career within the security sector and has already embraced the role of mentor and manager to our Apprentices.

Dan

Management - Engineering Team

Prior to obtaining a permanent position at OLS, Dan worked as a subcontractor for the company for a number of years. Dan has worked closely with Ollie throughout his career at OLS and was promoted to Engineering Manager in 2020.Dan is a qualified Electrician with over 25 years’ experience and has vast knowldege within the Manufacturing, Industrial and commercial sector, this has enabled Dan to have a proactive approach within the Security Industry whereby his skills and knowledge have been embedded into the engineering team.Dan enjoys dealing with our clients on a day-to-day basis, having a close working relationship with our engineers and using his skills to adapt to an ever changing, highly challenging role.

Meet the Apprentices

Our future

Here at OLS we actively encourage apprenticeship opportunities throughout the business. Our apprentices at present undertake on the job training in the engineering and administration departments. They are eager, motivated, and ambitious and love to work in an ever changing and dynamic environment.Kiya is just about to complete her Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship, she supports and engages with different parts of the organisation and interacts with internal or external customers. Kiya loves marketing, customer service and data submission.Brad and Dan work in our engineering team and are undertaking a Level 3 Fire, Emergency and Security System Apprenticeship with Skills for Security. They are an invaluable part of this department and undertake tasks such as Installation, commissioning, and Fault Diagnosis. Brad enjoys how the role takes him across the UK and allows him to see a range of business environments. Dan’s favourite task is to work with the latest technology.We are happy to invest our time and knowledge in this area as we feel they are the future here at OLS!
